Lauria’s is not exactly a pizza restaurant, but it made the list because they have some of the most outstanding pizza in the Gulf Shores area, as well as plenty of other great food options. They are an Italian Beach Bar, and are located right on Beach Boulevard, in the heart of Gulf Shores.

For pizza, they have a great pizza sub that includes slices of Salami, Ham, and Pepperoni, along with provolone and sun dried tomatoes. Their margherita flatbread is a delicious pizza-ish creation topped with a basil pesto, mozzarella cheese, tomato slices, and fresh basil. They also offer a BBQ chicken and Buffalo chicken flatbread.

Overall, they are one of the best places to satisfy those pizza cravings.

Other items on the menu include a caprese bagel, bruschetta, and ham and cheese. And don’t forget to try their gelato for dessert!

Tuscany Pizza

Tuscany Pizza is a locally owned and operated pizzeria that focuses on Tuscan cuisine, crafting up authentic Italian pizza. They also stand among the best pizza places in the Gulf Shores area. They have a passion for Italian cuisine and wanted to share that with their community.

On the menu are classics like the Margherita, cheese, and Roma tomato, as well as some specialty pies. Their pastas are also delicious, and they offer plenty of dishes you won’t find at other restaurants, like a fig and prosciutto starter, a cheese and charcuterie board, and mussels in a garlic and white wine sauce.

Papa Rocco

They offer a wide and varied menu, which includes oven-baked pizza, but also fresh take-n-bake pizza. So if you’re a local or are staying at an AriBnB, where you’ve got access to an oven, Sassy Bass makes for a heck of a pizza night. If you don’t want to bake it yourself, they also offer pizza delivery.

Pizzas on the menu include a variety of Specialty and Unique pies, like the T-rex, with bacon, beef, pepperoni, sausage, and loaded with cheese. The Island Luau is an awesome pizza too, and comes with ham, pineapple, bacon, roasted red peppers, cheese and marinara sauce.

Sassy Bass doesn’t just specialize in pizza, though. They have a Donut Shop, with a build your own donuts option, a Tiki Bar, a Chophouse, and an Island Grill with fresh seafood and local specials.

Portabella’s is a delightful hidden gem tucked away in Foley, Alabama, just a short drive from the Gulf Shores.
